ABOUT
The Air Force Museum Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Since 1960, we have worked to support the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force™ financially for expansions, special exhibits, restorations, enhancements, educational programs, acquisitions and more.
The Foundation also provides necessary resources for volunteer support and special events, and funds for marketing this world-class Museum throughout the region and beyond.
The Air Force Museum Foundation is the largest external single-source funder for the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and supporters, we have achieved a great deal in our 60+ year history, providing nearly $100 million in financial resources.
Whether it be a one-time gift, recurring support, planned giving, corporate sponsorship, Legacy Data Plate recognition, a Museum Store or Attractions purchase, or a private event, every dollar helps to support the Foundation’s goal – preserving aviation history and ensuring the future of the Museum.
Our Mission
Raise funds and awareness to support the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force™ mission.
Our Vision
Honoring every Airman’s story with a permanent home to inspire future generations.
OUR HISTORY
In 1960, local leaders who supported the Museum’s mission formed the Air Force Museum Foundation to help raise funds for facilities. These leaders were attorney James F. Barnhart, bank president C. Frank Scarborough, and radio journalist John H. Fraim.
