Dayton, Ohio – Oct 17, 2024 — The Air Force Museum Foundation, Inc., announces the final event of their 2024 After Dark series, Saturday, November 2nd, with Bombers & Brews at the National Museum of the United States Air Force. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for this adults-only (21+) event, which will run from 6:00–10:00 p.m. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased on the Foundation’s website: AirForceMuseumFoundation.org/events/#upcoming-events.
All proceeds benefit the Air Force Museum Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that raises funds and awareness for the Museum.
The evening’s entertainment will include a live band, a mustache contest (inspired by Col Robin Olds), and trivia with prizes. Three aircraft will be open for guests; they can board the B-36 Peacemaker and B-1 Lancer bombers, and they’ll have an opportunity to look in the cockpit of the “MiG-killer” F-4 Phantom II flown by Colonel Olds. History buffs will enjoy artifact displays by Wright State University and the Museum’s Collection Management Division, and a presentation on the famous “lost” bomber, Lady Be Good. Also on tap is a display of artifacts and a presentation on the B-36 by Brian Pierson, a well-known B-36 authority, who is constructing his own replica Peacemaker cockpit. An hors d’oeuvres buffet will be provided, and a selection of adult beverages will be available for purchase at cash bars.
After Dark is an event series designed exclusively for adults ages 21+, to allow patrons to enjoy the Museum in a relaxed setting with friends.
